Recycling the Turkish Kilim (Asssemblage on board)
This was originally a beautiful hand-made kilim;  Then, when it became old and dilapidated, it was cut up and made into lovely ‘aged’ cushion covers.  When they finally fell apart into small pieces, due to wear and tear, these remaining pieces were  completely reassembled by the artist, framed and saved.

One of the most recent paintings in you will see in my exhibition is ‘going, going’ featuring a Swarm of Clouded Yellow butterflies. Such an event is rarely seen in the UK. Quite few years ago when I was in Cornwall, and no one else was around, I was thrilled to see a large migration-swarm of Clouded Yellows suddenly appear above me. They flew all around me and it was a wonderful sight – one which I shall never forget.
